The Nikon NIKKOR Z 50mm f/1.8 S Lens is the right choice for low-light shooting. You can fix the lens to Nikon Z series cameras such as the Nikon Z7 or Z6. The lens includes 12 optical elements that are arranged in 9 groups. These elements have two Extra-low Dispersion and two aspherical lenses placed among them to minimize distortions at the edges and combat color fringing. Both nanocrystal and super integrated coatings are applied to the elements to minimize ghosting and flare. The stepping AF motor remains silent when focusing down to a minimum distance of 40 cm. With the 9-blade diaphragm and f/1.8 maximum aperture, you obtain a shallow depth of field with circular light iris in the background. The fluorine coat on the front element resists fingerprints, dust, and moisture. Also, the lens barrel is dust and waterproof to support outdoor shooting in harsh weather.
