overview
The Sigma 18–35mm T2 High-Speed Zoom Lens allows you to take advantage of the wide dynamic range offered by ARRI PL cine cameras. The lens covers an image circle of a super 35mm-size sensor. The full control over the focus, zoom, and iris lets you decide the final look of each shot. These control rings are ergonomically placed to give tactile control over adjustment. Moreover, the scale markings in feet ensure precision during adjustment. You can turn the focus and zoom rings up to 180° and 160°, respectively. The click-less iris ring, which rotates up to 60°, enables you to decide how much bright or dark the image should look. Each of these rings has a dampener that absorbs the noise when you turn them till the end. The 9-blade diaphragm does its job of creating a cinematic bokeh quality that makes your medium or close-up shots stunningly pleasant. You can open the aperture up to the T-stop value of 2 for working in dim conditions. The cine-standard 0.8 Mod gears allow you to use different accessories like the follow focus unit. Various matte boxes can be attached to the lens as it has a 95mm front diameter. The front thread fits 82mm circular filters. Designed to withstand rough treatment, the lens boasts an all-metal body with dust- and splash-proof sealing.
