OVERVIEW
The Sony FE 16-35mm f/2.8 GM Lens gives consistent performance throughout its focus range. This lens is made for E-mount mirrorless cameras. The lens design has 16 elements in 13 groups that include two extra-low dispersion elements, three aspherical, and two XA elements for eliminating chromatic aberrations and controlling spherical anomalies. Moreover, nano AR coating on the lens reduces ghosting and lens flare as well as enhances the contrast and color vibrancy. A fluorine coat is applied on the lens to protect the lens from dust and fingerprints. The lens has two Direct Drive SSM (DDSSM) autofocus groups ensure silent focusing whether capturing photos or shooting videos. It can focus on an object standing only 0.28m away and has a 0.62× magnification. This lens has an 11-bladed diaphragm that provides a pleasing bokeh quality. The lens has a sturdy construction having moisture sealing, rubber control rings.
