Relive the charm of film photography with the Nikon Nikkormat FT2 SLR Camera. It can be used with lenses having an F mount. The built-in CdS TTL exposure-metering system offers a maximum ASA sensitivity range of 1600. The optical viewfinder has a built-in K-type focusing screen having a Fresnel matte field with the central micro prism spot. A dedicated Depth-of-Field preview button is provided in the camera for allowing you to view the final result beforehand. The maximum shutter speed at which this camera can click images of moving objects is 1/1000th of a second. It independent instant return mirror with lock-up function prevents blur during exposure adjustment. The hot shoe can be used for attaching an external flash head.
Optics and Focus
The Nikon Nikkormat FT2 SLR camera comes with a built-in center-weighted TTL exposure meter that offers light sensitivity of EV 3–17 at ASA 100. The camera has a metal focal-plane shutter with a maximum speed of 1/1000th of a second for allowing you to click pictures of moving objects in detail. A focusing is incorporated into the viewfinder, which has a Fresnel matte field with a central micro prism spot.
Sensor and Screen
The Nikon Nikkormat FT2 SLR has an eye-level optical viewfinder with indicator needles to show the current shutter speed and aperture along with low and high exposure marks.
Image and Video
This Nikon camera can take photos with 35mm film rolls. You can advance the film after the photo is clicked by using the single-stroke lever that has a 135° winding angle and 20° stand-off angle.
Other Features
The camera has a hot shoe to mount electronic flash units. It also automatically switches to MX settings when shutter speeds for different flashbulbs are selected. A frame counter is provided at the top for denoting the number of exposed frames. Delay the shutter release by 10 seconds using the self-timer, so you can become a part of your group or family photo. This camera has a DOF preview button that lets you check the depth of field in images. A 1.5V silver-oxide battery can be used power the Nikon FT2 SLR.
