The lens comes with a tripod mount that can be used with an Arca-Swiss quick-release plate. The mount is made from lightweight magnesium. Providing a gorgeous background bokeh is the nine-blade, circular, electromagnetic diaphragm, which is controlled by a motor via electronic pulse signals. The optical construction of the lens involves 23 elements in 17 groups. Also, the lens has an overall dust-resistant and moisture-proof construction that makes it suitable for outdoor use. Moreover, it has a fluorine coating that is oil- and water-repellent, and which makes it easy to wipe off fingerprints, moisture, dust, and dirt. You may also install firmware updates with an optional TAP-in Console that offers a direct USB connection to your PC. For shooting at farther telephoto ranges, pair up this lens with Tamron tele converters.
