Overview
Whether working from wide angle or mid-level, the Tamron SP 15–30 F/2.8 Di VC USD G2 Lens ensures clarity and true color in each picture. Inspired by its predecessor, this wide-angle zoom lens delivers exceptional picture quality with the inclusion of eXpanded Glass Molded Aspherical and Low Dispersion lens elements to combat distortion at the edges as well as reduce chromatic aberrations. The new anti-reflection eXpand coating along with eBand and BBAR coatings suppress ghosting and flare significantly to improve image contrast. The Dual MPU system handles the focusing and image stabilization of the lens. When the VC image stabilization is enabled, the lens corrects up to 4.5 shutter stops of camera shakes. The 9-blade diaphragm produces smooth defocused backgrounds with rounded light iris. As this lens is specially designed for Canon, it has a rear filter holder for drop-in filters. You can connect the lens to an optical TAP-in console to fine-tune the focus parameters and update the firmware. The front element of the lens is shielded by a fluorine coat that repels dust and moisture. This Tamron lens has a moisture-resistant design to function in rainy or snowy conditions.
