OVERVIEW
The 49mm Tiffen ND filter is a solid neutral density filter with a 2x filter factor, reducing exposure by one stop. Its 0.3 density evenly darkens the entire frame, giving you the flexibility to use a wider aperture or slower shutter speed than usual. This added control helps you adjust depth of field and capture motion more effectively. Because it’s a neutral density filter, it maintains accurate color and can be combined with other filters without affecting image tones.
It’s constructed using ColorCore technology, where the filter material is bonded between two layers of optical glass, then precision-ground to an extremely fine tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch and secured within durable metal filter rings.
