From solo creators to professional production teams, the R6 V adapts effortlessly to any workflow. With support for 7K RAW recording, expansive dynamic range, active cooling, and a host of cinema-inspired tools, it’s engineered to perform consistently in demanding shooting conditions. A rotating interface and multiple tripod mounting points further enhance flexibility, making horizontal and vertical shooting equally seamless.

32.5MP Full-Frame Sensor with DIGIC X Processing

At the core of the R6 V is a 32.5MP full-frame CMOS sensor paired with Canon’s advanced DIGIC X processor, delivering crisp, low-noise imagery and exceptional video performance across a variety of recording formats. With a native resolution of 6960 x 4640, the sensor supports detailed 7K RAW capture and 7K oversampled 4K recording for enhanced clarity, color accuracy, and fine detail. Designed to perform reliably in diverse lighting conditions, the camera offers a native ISO range of 100–64,000, expandable to 50–102,400, along with more than 15 stops of dynamic range when shooting in Canon Log 2.

Advanced 7K RAW Recording

The R6 V offers an extensive range of recording options designed to maximize creative flexibility in post-production. Internal 7K30 open-gate RAW and 7K60 RAW Light recording deliver rich 12-bit color depth and exceptional sharpness, enabling extensive cropping and advanced color grading without compromising image quality. A dedicated color button provides quick access to Custom Picture settings, including Canon Log 2, Canon Log 3, HLG, PQ, Canon 709, BT.709, and up to 14 customizable profiles. High-speed recording modes up to 4K120 and 2K180 also make it easy to create smooth, cinematic slow-motion footage.

Hybrid Photo and Video Performance

Built for creators who need both professional video and high-speed photography capabilities, the R6 V retains many of the still-image features found in the R6 Mark III. Its electronic shutter supports continuous shooting at up to 40 fps, while Pre-Continuous Shooting mode records up to 20 frames before the shutter is fully pressed, helping capture decisive moments with precision.

Dual Pixel CMOS AF II

Inherited from the EOS R6 Mark III, the Dual Pixel CMOS AF II system delivers fast, intelligent, and highly accurate autofocus for both stills and video. Using advanced phase-detection technology, the system can recognize and track people, animals, vehicles, and other subjects with impressive reliability. Features like Register People Priority further enhance focusing precision by allowing users to prioritize specific subjects during shooting.

Comprehensive Image Stabilization

The R6 V features Coordinated Image Stabilization, combining in-body image stabilization (IBIS) with optical stabilization in compatible Canon RF and RF-S lenses for up to 7.5 stops of shake correction at the center of the frame. This advanced stabilization system ensures smoother handheld video and sharper still images. For video capture in especially unstable conditions, Movie Digital IS adds five-axis digital stabilization to further reduce camera shake and maintain steady footage.

Video-Focused Design

Purpose-built for video production, the R6 V features a streamlined body optimized for comfort and usability. An integrated active cooling system supports longer recording times and stable operation, while intuitive physical controls and a vari-angle LCD with a rotating user interface make navigating settings and shooting configurations quick and efficient.
