I have a brand new Canon EOS R6 and I'm seeing a pink/purple glare on the left side of the electronic viewfinder while shooting. Is this normal, or does it suggest a problem with the camera or EVF?

No. I’ve had my R6 for 8 months and there is no glare, pink or otherwise) in the viewfinder. Initiate an exchange or repair while it is still brand new. I would try to have it replaced, since that sounds like it could be symptoms of another problem.

No—this is not considered normal behavior for the EOS R6 viewfinder. A colored glare appearing on one side of the EVF, especially on a brand new camera, suggests a possible defect or another underlying issue rather than a normal characteristic of the camera. Since the camera is new, the safest course is to contact the retailer or Canon support and request an exchange, inspection, or repair while it is still within the return/warranty period.
