The Sony FE 400mm f/2.8 GM OSS Lens is a large super-telephoto prime lens that is specially introduced for sports and wildlife photography. The lens is designed to join the extensive professional Sony E-mount line-up. Its optical design is balanced is such a way that the lens doesn't put a load on the front or rear end. The lens uses three fluorite elements that reduce chromatic aberrations and color bleeding to provide G Master image quality. Also, the Nano AR coating suppresses lens flare and ghosting to maintain image clarity. The new high-speed XD linear motor offers five times faster-autofocusing speed while tracking moving subjects, thus allowing you to capture a clear shot of running animals or athletes. With the updated motion algorithms, the instances of lag and instability are significantly reduced. Moreover, the lens has four customizable focus hold buttons that are ergonomically placed to offer convenience when taking photos from different angles. The Optical SteadyShot image stabilization cuts down the effects of camera shakes to keep the image composition stable during handheld shooting.
