OVERVIEW
The Sigma AF 14-24mm f/2.8 DG DN Art Lens for Sony E is an ultra wide-angle zoom lens from Sigma's new full-frame mirrorless lens series, & features a fast f/2.8 constant maximum aperture, making it suitable for lighting conditions. Low dispersion & aspherical elements are used to reduce the amount of chromatic & spherical aberrations throughout the zoom range, making it easier to achieve color accuracy, clarity, & high sharpness. Also included, is a super multi-layer coating, which is combined with a NPS (Nano Porous Coating), which helps minimize lens flare & ghosting even more than the usual anti-reflective coatings. The combination of the multi-layer & NPS coatings provide color accuracy & great contrast in a variety of lighting conditions.
The AF 14-24mm f/2.8 features a stepping motor, which allows for high-speed, smooth autofocusing that is notably quiet. Its built-in AFL (autofocus-lock) button can be custom-set, in order for you to broaden your range of functions available on the lens. Its rounded 11-blade diaphragm provides high quality images by ahelping to create a smooth bokeh effect. A built-in lens hood helps protect the front of your lens, while also preventing stray light from causing lens flare.
