Overview

THIS IS A USED ITEM
IMAGES ARE FOR ILLUSTRATIVE PURPOSES ONLY
Condition: Good

The Mamiya C220 TLR is designed for portraiture photography. An 80mm F/2.8 lens is provided with the camera. It is the first TLR with interchangeable lens design. Insert the film with the take-up spool. Pull up the finder frame to spring-up the focusing hood. You can push the sports finder flap down and pull up the magnifying glass to use the focusing hood as a sports finder. The exposure adjustment of the camera is done by setting the correct values for the shutter speed and aperture. An exposure correction scale is given on the left side of the camera, which can be referenced to adjust the camera exposure with respect to the attached lens. Wind the film after each exposure by turning the dedicated knob. The camera is fully mechanical, thus works without requiring batteries.

Optics and Focus

The camera has an 80mm F/2.8 lens included with it. There are 5 optical glass elements arranged in 3 groups. The lens offers a field of view of 50° 40'. A Saiko shutter is also integrated into the lens design. The wide aperture of f/2.8 allows you to capture photographs with a shallow depth of field. You can take close-up shots from a minimum distance of 35.4 cm.

Sensor and Screen

The waist-level focusing hood reveals itself when you pull down the finder frame. Also, the magnifying hood can also be used as a sports finder by pulling up the magnifying glass and pushing up the sports finder flap.

Image and Video

The camera captures photographs on both 120 and 220 films. A rotating pressure plate is located inside the back, which keeps the film stable while is exposed to the light. You can take multiple exposures on a single frame by turning the dial located on the right side of the camera. Advance the film by flipping-up the crank located on the winding knob.

Other Features

The lens has a PC terminal to connect an external flash. You can synchronize the electronic flash at all shutter speeds. No batteries are needed to be inserted into the camera as its internal function is fully mechanical.
