The most exciting feature of this lens is its 16.6x zoom ratio. It is the first APS-C mirrorless camera lens in the world to achieve this extreme. Its 18-300mm range provides the full-frame equivalent of 27-450mm. From ultra-telephoto photography taking advantage of lens compression, to wide-angle photography that captures vast landscapes, this lens supports many different types of photographic expression. This lens incorporates TAMRON's proprietary VC mechanism to minimize the effect of camera-shake, which is likely to occur in the telephoto range. Using AI technologies, the lens will choose the compensation characteristic for videography at focal lengths of 70mm or less.
