The Pentax 67 is a medium format SLR camera with mirror lock function. It comes with the Pentax Super Takumar 150mm F/2.8 lens. You can also use other Pentax 67 mount lenses with this camera. The camera uses the optional TTL pentaprism finder for the light metering. You can set the electronic shutter speed limit up to 1/1000th of a second. There is a hot shoe and PC terminal for connecting external flash or flashbulbs to the camera. The mirror lock function prevents vibrations when manually metering. The interchangeable viewfinder design opens various image capture possibilities.
Optics and Focus
The camera has the Pentax Super Takumar 150mm-F/2.8 lens provided with it. Its optical construction includes 6 elements in 5 groups to ensure high-quality images with sharpness and clarity. The lens can focus down to a minimum distance of 1.5 m. Thanks to the 9-blade diaphragm, the lens offers a smooth, rounded bokeh in the background. The lens accepts 67mm filters on the front thread. This camera has a maximum shutter speed of 1/1000th of a second that makes you capture clear shots of moving objects.
Sensor and Screen
The camera has a pentaprism viewfinder that provides screen coverage of 90%. Also, the diopter is set at the standard -1 D. Thanks to the interchangeable viewfinder design; you can attach other finders such as the pentaprism TTL, waist-level viewfinder, magnifying hood, or focusing hood to the camera.
Image and Video
The camera uses both 120 type, and 220 type film rolls to produce 10 and 20 exposures respectively. After you developed the negatives, they give a picture frame of 55×70mm. The camera has a rapid wind lever that has a 180° advance movement. You can see the number of exposed frames in the frame counter.
Other Features
You can attach an external electronic flash to the X terminal. The connect flash synchronizes with the camera shutter at 1/30th of a second. The FP terminal is used for using a standard flashbulb synchronizes at 1/250th of a second. With the mirror lock lever, you can take clear shots even at slow shutter speeds without experiencing blur. The camera runs on a 6V alkaline or silver oxide battery.
