The Fuji X-E2S Mirrorless Digital Camera provides high-resolution images and videos along with enhanced low-light performance. This camera can be used with Fujifilm X-mount lenses. The camera has a 16.3 MP APS-C-size X-Trans II CMOS sensor and the EXR Processor II image processing engine. Thanks to the Intelligent Hybrid AF system, this camera offers fast and accurate focus performance in both photo and video modes. The camera sports a 3-inch LCD as well as a 0.5-inch OLED viewfinder. With the Film Simulation mode, you can give your images characteristics of classic Fujifilm negatives. The intelligent pop-up flash unit offers a number of modes to work with, such as Commander/Red-Eye Reduction, Auto/Red-Eye Reduction, Rear Curtain Sync/Red-Eye Reduction, and Slow Sync/Red-Eye Reduction. You can transfer images and videos to smartphones or tablets with built-in Wi-Fi connectivity.
Optics and Focus
Designed to fit Fujifilm X mount lenses, the Fuji X-E2S camera offers 4 exposure modes, namely Aperture Priority, Manual, Programmed Auto, and Shutter Priority. The native exposure limit of 6400 can be increased to 51200 in the extended mode. The camera comes with mechanical and electronic shutters that have a maximum speed of 1/4000th and 1/32000th of a second, respectively. This camera utilizes the Intelligent Hybrid AF system that offers 77 contrast- and 15 phase-detection points as well as a fast response in 0.06 seconds. Digital Split Image and Focus Highlight Peaking ensure quick and precise determination of focus.
Sensor and Screen
The Fuji X-E2S camera is equipped with an APS-C X-Trans II CMOS sensor that offers reduced moiré and aliasing. A 3-inch LCD is located at the rear for live view monitoring in 1040K dot resolution. Also, the camera has a 0.5-inch OLED viewfinder with a 2360K dot resolution. Both the optical viewfinder and LCD offer 100% screen coverage.
Image and Video
The camera captures 4896×3264 dpi resolution images in JPEG and RAW formats and 1080p video recording at 60 fps. The EXR Processor II offers enough power to capture shots at 7 fps for up to 18 consecutive frames. The shutter lag and start-up time are 0.05 and 0.5 seconds, respectively. The Film Simulation mode provides your images with the classic look of Fujifilm's vintage film types such as Velvia, Provia, and Astia.
Other Features
Built-in Wi-Fi connectivity facilitates transfer of images to smartphones. Record a 360° view of the scene with the Motion Panorama mode. You can set the interval timer to capture time-lapse sequence images from 1 second to 24 hours up to 999 frames. This camera offers a flash guide number of 22.97 feet, an ISO speed of 200, and a flash sync speed of 1/180th of a second for optimum performance in any condition. The hot shoe enables attachment of external flash. You can process RAW images in-camera with the dedicated built-in converter. This camera runs on a 1260 mAh NP-W126 rechargeable Li-ion battery pack.
