OVERVIEW

The Sony FE 24mm f/1.4 GM Lens, from Sony's "G Master" lens series, is a wide angle lens, that features a f/1.4 maximum aperture that is beneficial during low-light shooting. This lens is designed specially for full-frame Sony E-mount mirrorless cameras, & features a versatile design, which makes it suitable for a variety of applications, such as landscape, nature, & street photography. The lens can also be used on APS-C camera models, where it provides a 36mm equivalent focal length.

The lens's bright f/1.4 maximum aperture is also designed to offer increased control over your depth of field, & features an optical design that incorporates three extra-low dispersion elements, as well as two XA elements, in order to reduce chromatic & spherical aberrations, while improving the level of sharpness & clarity in your images. The XA elements are also designed to provide precise, & effective control, over field curvature, astigmatism, coma, & other spherical aberrations. The extra-low dispersion elements are designed to reduce color fringing, & to improve color neutrality.

A Nano AR coating has also been applied, in order to limit ghosting & flaring, which also increases the contrast & color fidelity of your images when working in strong lighting conditions. The Sony FE 24mm f/1.4 GM Lens features a Direct Drive Super Sonic Wave Motor AF System, which features an internal focus mechanism, in order to provide a quick, quiet, & precise autofocus performance, which also contributes to a natural, intuitive manual focusing experience. A focus hold button is featured on the lens barrel, for fast access to select settings.

A physical aperture ring, which can be de-clicked, for smooth & silent aperture switching during video applications, is included in the lens' design as well. Its rounded 11-blade diaphragm contributes to your ability to produce a pleasing bokeh quality, through the use of selective focusing techniques in your images.

A flourine coating has also been applied to the front element, in order to make this lens dust & moisture-resistant.
