The Bronica SQ-A is a 6x6 medium format SLR camera, which uses a leaf shutter based lens design. Its Zenzanon PS 65mm f/4 lens is intended for shooting medium format and has a lens aperture of f/4.0. The Bronica SQ-A has an electronic shutter with speed of 8 sec. to 1/500 seconds. Since it is a leaf shutter based camera system, flash sync is available at all speeds. The SQ-A is designed with Mirror Lockup, and a viewfinder system that supports auto exposure. An interchangeable back system was incorporated that has the ability to use 120 or 220 (12 / 24 ) exposure film backs. The main film crank can be removed to attach a winder or speed grip, and the shutter release button can be locked with a twist of the collar to prevent mistaken exposures. The shutter cannot be released with the dark slide inserted, and the shutter cannot be cocked without film, but use of multi-exposure mode will allow you to cock it to test fire the shutter. The battery check button is located by the shutter knob along with a cable release socket. The Bronica SQ-A is powered by one 6V PX28A battery (Not Included) located in a compartment at the base of the camera.
