Overview
The Nikon NIKKOR Z DX 16-50mm VR Lens is a standard zoom lens, designed for DX-format Nikon Z-mount mirrorless cameras, & features a 24-75mm-equivalent focal length range. Its wide-angle to portrait-length zoom range, makes it suitable for everyday shooting.
The lens also features Vibration Reduction image stabilization, for sharper handheld shooting, which minimizes the appearance of camera shake by up to 4.5 stops. Its featured stepping motor provides a fast, quiet, & smooth autofocus performance, which is applied to both stills & video applications. Full-time manual focus override is supported, & an internal focusing design allows the lens to maintain its overall length while in use, while boosting its focusing speeds.
A specialized, electromagnetic aperture mechanism is featured, to provide stable control over exposure, when working with faster continuous shooting rates. The NIKKOR DX 16-50mm VR Lens features a seven-blade diaphragm, which is beneficial when working with selective focusing techniques, to provide a pleasing "bokeh" quality in your images. Its programmable Control Ring is set by default to adjust manual focusing, but is also capable of controlling aperture or exposure compensation.
The lens's optical design features one extra-low dispersion element, four aspherical elements, & a super integrated coating, to reduce color fringing, chromatic aberrations, flare, & ghosting, while improving clarity, color accuracy, contrast, & color fidelity while working in stronger lighting conditions.
