The Metabones Canon EF to Sony FE/E T Speed Booster Ultra is a nifty accessory that enables your E-mount camera to capture crystal clear photos using your Canon EF lenses on a Sony FE or E mount body.
The adapter boasts an impressive magnification rating of 0.71x, which effectively reduces the crop factor from 1.5x to 1.07x for all mirrorless cameras that are equipped with DX-sized sensors.
This accessory is powered by the camera body itself, which means that no external power source is needed for it.
The Metabones Canon EF to Sony FE/E T Speed Booster ULTRA 0.71x is NOT COMPATIBLE with Canon's EF-s Lenses. Please see the list of compatible lenses listed below.

Notes:
- Phase-detect AF is available only on A7Rii and A7ii. On other Sony cameras, Contrast-detect AF with an EF mount lens may be inadequate for all but stationary or static subjects.
- Even with the phase-detect AF on the A7Rii and A7ii, you may experience some "hunting" with longer telephoto lenses, with "autofocus performance progressively [deteriorating] as focal length gets longer."
- On the A7Rii, the center AF points will always be the best.
- Continuous AF is NOT SUPPORTED.
- Eye AF is NOT SUPPORTED.
- Autofocus accuracy depends heavily on the working condition of the lens. Lenses with hidden problems - which may not be apparent on Canon DSLRs- will lead to inaccurate and unreliable autofocus on your Sony NEX or Alpha camera.
- There is no support for lens corrections, such as peripheral shading, CA, and/or distortion.
- Some aftermarket battery grips may cause an erratic change in aperture while shooting.
- Sony NEX cameras cannot display aperture values beyond f/1.0. If a f/1.2 Canon EF lens is used with the Speed Booster ULTRA, the resulting aperture is f/0.9, but the body displays the original aperture, f/1.2, to the body.
- When the Speed Booster is used with the Sony A7 series, the body will turn on APS-C Capture mode. You cannot use a Speed Booster in Full-Frame Capture with a full-frame Sony Camera.
