The Zoom F8n Multi-Track Field Recorder delivers high-quality audio whether shooting at outdoor locations or in a studio. You may also use the recorder for gigs or electronic news gathering applications. The recorder has up to 8 analog XLR inputs that provide +75 dB maximum input gain. They also accept line-level inputs. With the Zoom F8n, you can record up to 10 tracks simultaneously. The dual channel recording is ideal for one- to four-track projects. Your audio recording is protected against clipping by advanced look-ahead limiters, while the temperature-compensated crystal oscillator offers 0.2 ppm timecode accuracy for correct audio synchronization. The output ports allow you to send audio signals to video cameras while monitoring. You may insert two SDXC cards in the dual memory card slots for extending the recording time. Moreover, these SD slots make the unit function as a card reader when connected to a PC via USB. The recorder includes other advanced features such as the digital boost gain, headphone signal routing, stereo to mono switching, A to B decoding, a customized metering screen, and more. The recorder also comes with an integrated slate mic for recording voice memos. You may power the Zoom F8n with the included AA batteries or AC adapter. An optional 9–18 VDC external power pack can also be used for the recorder.
