The optical construction of the lens uses 11 elements in 10 groups. The Distagon optical concept affords high sharpness, well-corrected image quality. This lens has a ZEISS T* anti-reflective coating that reduces flare and ghosting for working in difficult lighting conditions. The floating elements system helps to maintain consistent image quality throughout the entire focusing range. All the more, this lens has a dust and weather-sealed construction with which you can use the lens in inclement shooting conditions.
