The Nikon 300mm f4 AF ED Lens is best suited for nature photography where you have to get close to the subjects without alerting them. This lens can be fitted with most Nikon cameras. The lens has 8 optical elements arranged in 6 groups, which include 2 Extra-low Dispersion elements to correct chromatic aberrations. These elements are multi-coated to improve saturation and clarity. The lens can automatically focus down to a minimum distance of 2.5m. With 9 aperture blades, you get a smooth bokeh in the blurred background. The front metal thread accepts 82mm circular filters. Thanks to the built-in telescopic hood, incoming stray light is stopped from entering the lens. The fixed tripod collar offers additional stability.
