Condition: Excellent

The Nikon D500 DSLR Camera is known for its high-quality imaging capabilities and a compact yet robust body. It can be used with Nikon F-mount lenses. The 20.9MP DX-format CMOS sensor works in tandem with the EXPEED 5 image processor to offer clear images in almost any lighting condition. This DSLR camera records 4K videos at 30 fps and supports 10 fps continuous capture of up to 200 frames. The 153-point multi-CAM 20K AF system includes 99 cross-type sensors and can quickly get the desired object in sharp focus. A 3.2-inch tilting LCD screen is located at the back, and it lets you view a scene in 2539k-dot resolution. This camera has built-in WiFi with NFC, which can be used for sharing images to compatible devices like smartphones and tablets.

Optics and Focus

The Nikon D500 features the 153-point multi-CAM 20K AF system that has 99 cross-type points to facilitate quick subject recognition. You may select 55 points to accentuate the required area in the frame. Under 3D-tracking, this camera uses all the 153 points to keep the moving subject in focus by identifying its color. This camera can also capture photos of objects in motion with utmost clarity, thanks to its mechanical shutter. The electronic shutter, on the other hand, helps when you need to shoot with near silence. Both the mechanical and electronic shutters share a speed limit of 1/8000th of a second each.

Sensor and Screen

This DSLR camera from Nikon features a 20.9 MP DX-format CMOS sensor, which gets you images with high color sensitivity and detailing. The 3.2-inch rear touchscreen LCD lets you compose and monitor live videos as they’re being recorded, view captured media, and adjust various camera settings. The LCD gets you a 170° viewing angle and can tilt it up or down along with the camera for convenient high and low angles. The pentaprism viewfinder offers a 1.0× magnification and a diopter adjustment of -2 to +1 m. Moreover, an organic EL display lets you view the camera settings without taking your eye off the viewfinder. The LCD and viewfinder offer 100% screen coverage.

Image and Video

This DX-format DSLR from Nikon can take 14-bit stills with the highest resolution of 5568×3712 dpi in JPEG, RAW, and TIFF formats. It can also record videos in 4K at 30 fps or full HD videos at 60 fps. The EXPEED 5 image processor improves the camera performance significantly, particularly if the shoot location is weak in lighting. The continuous-shooting mode enables the camera to record up to 200 RAW frames at 10 fps. So also, the time-lapse mode makes it possible to record up to 9999 frames for up to 7 days in a row.

Other Features

The hot shoe located at the top of the Nikon D500 DSLR can be used for mounting a speedlight. After connecting the flash, you may set it on one of the 7 flash sync modes. The flash can be manually synchronized with the shutter at 1/250th of a second. You may also set a self-timer to trigger the shutter release at up to 20 seconds. The built-in WiFi with NFC connectivity and Bluetooth technology offer Snapbridge support to transfer images to smart devices. They also make it possible to remotely trigger the camera through your smartphone. The magnesium-alloy body with an all-weather sealing make it easy to use this Nikon camera in cold or humid locations. The camera can take up to 1240 shots with a fully charged EN-EL15 rechargeable Li-ion battery. For longer shooting hours, you could team up the camera with an optional MB-D17 Multi-Power Battery Pack.
