OVERVIEW

The Sony ECM-W5 is an advanced, all-in-one wireless microphone system crafted for video creators, filmmakers, and podcasters. Designed around high-resolution audio and seamless operation, the package includes two microphone transmitters, a receiver, and a smart charging case. The units automatically power on and pair when removed from the case, while connecting the receiver cable-free to a compatible Sony camera via the Multi Interface (MI) Shoe enables up to four-channel digital audio recording at 96 kHz/24-bit or 48 kHz/32-bit float.

By capturing 32-bit float audio directly into video files on compatible Sony cameras, the system eliminates clipping, removes the need to constantly adjust gain on set, and streamlines post-production by keeping video and audio perfectly synced in a single file. For added reliability, each transmitter features 64 GB of built-in storage for onboard backup recording. This allows separate WAV file creation, protecting your audio against signal dropouts and offering extra flexibility during editing.
