Overview
The Sigma 50–100mm T2 Fully Luminous High-Speed Zoom Lens provides high-quality results when fitted to a Sony E-mount camera. The lens covers an image circle of a Super 35mm-size sensor with ease. You can manually adjust the focus, zoom, and iris parameters using the dedicated control rings. The luminous Metric scales can be easily referred to in dim light. Moreover, the ergonomic positioning of these rings ensures convenient adjustment. The focus and zoom rings can rotate up to 180° and 160°, respectively to offer obstruction-free adjustment between long distances. The iris ring has a clickless functioning that benefits silent operation. The incorporated dampeners reduce the metallic noise that occurs when the rings hit the endpoint. The 9-blade diaphragm and wide aperture of T2 produce a shallow depth of field. All three rings have a cine-standard 0.8 Mod gear pitch that accepts professional film accessories like the follow focus unit. This Sigma cine lens has a 95mm front diameter that allows you to add different matte boxes to the overall filmmaking rig. You can fix an 82mm circular filter on the front thread. The all-metal body with dust- and splash-proof sealing makes the lens function in challenging weather.
