OVERVIEW
The LUMIX S1II combines expressive photo quality with advanced video capabilities, featuring a new 24.1MP partially stacked CMOS sensor for high-speed readout and stunning clarity. Capture 5.1K 60p open gate, C4K/4K 120p, and oversampled 4K video with rich detail and low noise. Dynamic Range Boost, REAL TIME LUT, and HEIF recording offer greater creative control and workflow flexibility.
With blackout-free burst shooting up to 70 fps and AI-powered Phase Hybrid AF, it’s built to keep up with fast-moving subjects. 8.0-stop 5-axis and Active I.S. deliver stable results, even handheld. Seamless app integration—including LUMIX Lab, LUMIX Flow, Capture One and Frame.io—makes the S1II a versatile tool for modern creators.
Dynamic Video and Crisp, Decisive Photos
With renowned LUMIX color science and a wide dynamic range, the S1II captures expressive detail and true-to-life tones. The high-speed image sensor delivers sharp, clear results, while industry-leading reliability across the workflow makes it a creative partner that inspires new expression.
Robust Video Capabilities Across Formats
The S1II is packed with advanced, creator-friendly video recording features, such as a partially stacked CMOS sensor with high-speed readout, and supports open gate 6K 30p (3:2) and 5.1K 60p (3:2) recording, C4K/4K 120p high frame rate video, and high resolution / low noise oversampled 4K video.
High-Speed Readout for Stunning Dynamic Range
The LUMIX S1II features a newly developed partially stacked CMOS sensor—LUMIX’s first—delivering ultra-fast readout speeds and exceptionally detailed reproduction. This is also the first in the LUMIX S Series to feature Dynamic Range Boost, delivering smoother gradations more expressive video.
Vivid, Clear Color and Resolution
LUMIX’s unique color science offers rich, expressive detail, with REAL TIME LUT to let you explore your own creative style. HEIF recording adds extra flexibility to the workflow. High Resolution mode offers 96MP-equivalent images, even when shooting handheld, for exceptional detail.
Fastest in the S Series: 70 fps AFC Burst Shooting
AFC burst shooting at approximately 10 fps using the mechanical shutter; switch to the electronic shutter’s SH Burst or SH Pre-Burst modes for up to 70 fps, even during fast-moving scenes like sports, wildlife, or vehicles. The viewfinder and monitor stay blackout-free for confident framing.
Next-level Autofocus with Advanced AI Recognition
Phase Hybrid AF and Advanced AI technology take the S1II's autofocus to the next level, focusing on eyes and faces even when they're tilted or partially obscured. Urban Sports recognition maintains precise focus even in dynamic performance scenes. Motorcycle mode has evolved into Motorcycle/Bike mode.
8.0-stop 5-axis I.S., Technology with Active I.S.
Enjoy steady framing for both photos and videos, even when shooting handheld. When recording video, it reduces the significant shake and perspective distortion that often comes with walking shots. There's also a cropless mode that works well for wide-angle shots.
