The Sigma 24mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art Lens for Leica L-Mount is a member of the "Art" line of Sigma's Global Vision Series. This lens combines advanced optical construction with a durable physical design. The 24mm f/1.4 features three "F" Low Dispersion (FLD) elements & four Special Low Dispersion elements to help reduce chromatic aberrations, while a pair of aspherical elements minimize a variety of other distortions & aberrations. Its optical design consists of 15-elements-in-11-groups, which help to deliver consistent peripheral brightness & sharpness, even when working at the f/1.4 maximum aperture. A Super Multi Coating has been applied to reduce flare & ghosting for higher contrast & color fidelity. Its Hyper Sonic Motor provides smooth, fast, & near-silent autofocus performance. The focusing motor allows for full-time manual focus override at any time by rotating the focus ring for refined manual control. Its nine-blade rounded diaphragm contributes to out-of-focus quality, or bokeh, when working with shallow depth of field shots.
