The Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 35 mm f/1.8G ED is a prime lens that is ideally suited for use with Nikons F-mount HDSLR cameras. A maximum aperture of f/1.8 provides you with excellent depth of field when shooting images, and also enables you to shoot clear photos in low lighting conditions. The Silent Wave motor integrated into the optical mechanism of this kens helps deliver a fast and accurate autofocus performance. Moreover, it does not make any sound when focusing the lens, which avoids unwanted noise that can interfere with the audio recording of your camera. Thanks to the extra-low dispersion glass element used in its construction, this lens offers high contrast and sharpness through the image. The seven rounded blades on the diaphragm of this camera enable you to create a creamy bokeh effect by rendering smooth and uniform out of focus regions in the background. In addition, this lens also prevents ghosting and flaring with the Super Integrated Coating on its surface. It has a filter size of 58 mm, and features an optical construction of 11 elements in 8 groups.
