Megapixels:
A megapixel is one million pixels. It is commonly used to describe the resolution of digital cameras. For example, a 7.2 megapixel camera is capable of capturing roughly 7,200,000 pixels. The higher the megapixel number, the more detail the camera can capture. Therefore, the megapixel count is a significant specification to look for when buying a digital camera.

Overview

Get rich still and video results with the Fujifilm GFX 50S Mirrorless Camera. A Fujifilm GF 120mm f/4 Macro lens comes along with this camera. The 51.4 MP CMOS sensor on the camera offers a 14-stop, wide dynamic range. With the X-Processor Pro, the camera ensures lag-free operation while recording 1080p videos at 30 fps and taking continuous shots at 3 fps. The 3.2-inch touchscreen LCD offers a 2.36m-dot resolution of the scene at hand. Also, the tiltable LCD makes it easy to use the camera from high and low angles. You may use two memory cards in this camera by inserting them into the dual UHS-II SD slots. The built-in Wi-Fi simplifies the process of transferring images to your smartphone. You may also remote-control the camera via the Fujifilm remote camera app. This Fuji camera has a magnesium-alloy body with weather sealing.

Optics and Focus

The Fujifilm GF 120mm f/4 Macro lens captures life-size images of small objects. This camera is also compatible with other Fujifilm G-mount lenses. The optical construction of 14 elements in 9 groups includes three Extra-low Dispersion elements to reduce chromatic aberrations and color fringing. The fluorine coating on the front element keeps moisture away. The linear AF motor ensures quiet operation, while the floating focusing system retains image sharpness from 1.5 feet to infinity. The 9-blade diaphragm produces a rounded bokeh in the background. This lens can work in harsh weather conditions, thanks to its dust- and weatherproof construction. The camera features the contrast detection AF system that divides 117 AF points into 425 to ensure accuracy. For manual focusing, the camera offers focus peaking for precise focusing.

Sensor and Screen

The 51.4 MP CMOS sensor ensures enhanced light gathering to render smooth color tones and gradations. Compose the shot or review captured videos and images by using the 3.2-inch 2.36m-dot touchscreen LCD. You can tilt the LCD up or down when working from a high or low angle. Another option for image composition is the 3.69m-dot OLED electronic viewfinder. The LCD as well as the EVF cover 100% of the frame area.

Image and Video

The Fujifilm GFX 50S can capture 51.4 MP images at a maximum resolution of 8256×6192 dpi in the photo mode, in JPEG, RAW, JPEG+RAW, as well as TIFF formats. The 1080p video recording is done at 30 fps. In the continuous shooting mode, the camera can capture unlimited JPEG, 13 lossless RAW, and 8 uncompressed RAW frames at 3 fps. You may apply film simulation modes such as Provia, Velvia, and Astia to the images and videos for giving them a unique feel.

Other Features

With the Wi-Fi connectivity built into this Fuji camera, it becomes easy to share captured photos and videos to smartphones as well as to operate the camera from a distance. You may attach an external flash on the hot shoe and synchronize it at 1/125th of a second. You may insert two UHS-II SD cards into the camera and set the storage priority for them. Also, you may make 30-second logs of shoots with the help of the voice memo function. This Fuji camera can capture approximately 400 shots per change of an NP-T125 Li-ion battery.

Focusing System: 117-point TTL contrast-detection system Manual, Continuous, Single focus modes AF Frame Selection: Single-Point, Zone AF, Wide/Tracking AF
Focusing System:
The type of focusing system used to capture a sharp image. Some simple cameras have fixed (infinity) focus. Most modern cameras have autofocus systems which determine the distance to the subject automatically. There are two main types of autofocus: active autofocus, where an infrared light (or a sonar pulse) is emitted by the camera and reflected by the subject, and passive autofocus, where the image transmitted by the lens is analysed for its sharpness by a detector inside the camera.

Elements / Groups: 14 / 9
Elements / Groups:
The individual pieces of glass that form the overall optical construction. Most lenses have between four and eleven elements to bend the light rays to ensure a perfectly formed image appears on the light sensitive surface, such as a film or CCD. The elements are arranged in groups and may be seen in specification sheets as, for example, 6 elements in 4 groups. That configuration may have two single elements and the other four grouped in pairs.
