Greater telephoto power can be achieved by adding the optional FUJINON GF1.4X TC WR teleconverter (sold separately), with a resulting 35mm equivalent focal length of 554mm. Without the teleconverter, a full-frame equivalent focal length of 500mm can still be achieved by cropping the large format GF sensor to 35mm. Combining the optical teleconverter with digital sensor crop, a maximal 35mm equivalent length of 700mm can be reached for the furthest-reaching subjects.
