The lens is made with 17 optical elements arranged in 12 groups, including 4 glass-molded (GMo) aspherical elements that ensure image clarity and sharpness right from the center to the edges. These optical elements have an Air Sphere Coating to minimize the effects of ghosting and flares. An additional fluorine coat is applied on the front and rear elements to prevent smudges and aid cleaning. The ring-type ultrasonic AF motor ensures fast and quiet autofocusing. Additionally, the 45-point cross-type AF system in the camera provides additional control over the depth of field. The lens is designed with an amazing 10-blade diaphragm that lends a smooth, circular bokeh effect on the background of images. When shooting handheld, the optical image stabilization reduces camera shakes up to four stops. Also, the internal focus mechanism doesn’t change the original lens size.

The Canon EOS 6D Mark II is equipped with a 26.2 MP CMOS sensor that provides stunning picture quality with vivid colors. Also, the DIGIC 7 image processor ensures clarity in low light.
