The Canon EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6mm IS USM Lens is a standard zoom, designed for APS-C-format, Canon DSLRs, & provides a 28.8-216mm equivalent focal length range, which covers wide-angle to telephoto lengths. Its optical design features one UD element, & one aspherical element, which minimizes chromatic & spherical aberrations, throughout the zoom range, for increased clarity. A Super Spectra coating has also been applied to individual elements, to minimize ghosting & lens flare, to provide greater contrast & color rendering, while working in stronger lighting conditions. Its Nano USM system provides fast, smooth, & accurate focusing, & supports full-time manual focus control, while working in one-shot AF mode. An image stabilizer is featured for an improvement in handheld shooting, & a rounded 7-blade diaphragm contribues to a pleasing bokeh, through the use of selective focusing techniques. A separately available, optional PZ-E1 Power Zoom Adapter (Click to View) can be used, to provide smoother, natural, & silent zooming control during video applications.
