Can Lightroom Classic automatically ignore video files during import?

In Lightroom Classic CC 8.2, importing from a card or folder also brings in video files. Is there a setting to always skip videos or ignore files by extension during import, so I don't have to manually use the hidden "Uncheck Videos" option each time?

I believe that's the only way right now, until Adobe adds an option in the future to auto ignore video files.
It takes a second using the option/alt key, can understand why it was never really requested.

No—based on the available information, Lightroom Classic CC 8.2 does not have a built-in setting to automatically ignore video files or filter imports by file extension. The current workaround is to use the import dialog’s hidden "Uncheck Videos" command (shown when holding Alt/Option). That appears to be the only method unless Adobe adds a dedicated preference in a future update.
