OVERVIEW
The Zoom H3-VR Handy Audio Recorder is a compact audio recorder with a built-in Ambisonics mic array offering flexible 360° audio capture. The Zoom H3-VR also has an integrated Ambisonics A-to-B conversion that eliminates the need for external processing. The device goes well beyond VR applications, and is additionally geared towards sound recordists, audio engineers, and content creators in music, audio-for-video, game audio, and AR production.
The H3-VR supports powering via two AA batteries or a USB connection. The power LED will also serve as a clip indicator. A 1/4"-20 threaded hole on the bottom of the H3-VR accommodates attachment to a standard camera tripod. At less than 5" tall and 3" wide, this recorder is discreet and unobtrusive.
Staying out of the shot can be tricky when recording a 360-degree video, which is why the H3 Control App lets you remotely access transport controls, level settings and metadata notes right from your iOS device. Also, the H3-VR enables you to live stream events in 360 degrees so that wherever your fans are, they will have access to the best seats in the house.
