The Videon Greylock HDMI HD H.264 Encoder Decoder can be used in live stage events, sports, and education. This two-part system offers a connection to HDMI, 3G, HD, and SD-SDI video inputs. The embedded audio inputs are processed along with the video signals. You may plug-in an unbalanced audio device to the 3.5mm analog input. The Videon Greylock is equipped with an Intel Atom CE5300 Processor that offers H.264 compression along with Baseline, Main, and High profiles. It can encode a 1080p60 video up to 20 Mbps. In the audio department, the Videon Greylock allows MPEG-4 AAC-LC encoding with 48 kHz sampling as well as MPEG-1 Layer II and MPEG-2 or MPEG-4 AAC audio decoding. You can use the Greylock as a unicast or multicast device to simultaneously stream one or more video signals on WowzaTM, UStream, YouTube Live, or DaCast. It has an encode latency of approximately 1 second and decode latency of about 250 ms. The web-browser-based UI offers an intuitive workflow. You can connect the encoder/decoder to a network using the RJ45 port. Integration with third-party controllers and applications is also possible. The Videon Greylock offers HTTP command and control, and it actively searches for other Videon units on the subnet.
