Overview
The Vaxis Storm 800 3G/SDI & HDMI Wireless Transmission Kit is a beginner-level, wireless transmission kit, that features an 800 ft. range, supports up to 1080p60 uncompressed signal transmission, & features less than 1ms of latency over the license-free, operation frequency (5.1 to 5.9 GHz). 3G-SDI & HDMI inputs, along with a 3G-SDI loop output, for local monitoring, are featured on the transmitter. The transmitter also comes with an L-series battery plate.
The receiver offers 3G-SDI & HDMI outputs, & features a V-mount battery plate. Both of the units support continuous power, via 2-pin LEMO inputs. In order to run power from D-Tap sources, two D-Tap LEMO cables are included. The units also feature a robust, metal housing.
Both the transmitter, & receiver, feature an OLED screen, to confirm various parameters. The transmitter is able to multicast, to up to 10 receivers at a time, & is able to transmit camera timecode, metadata, & start/stop flags for ARRI, RED, Canon, Sony, & Panasonic cameras. A built-in HDMI to SDI converter is featured as well.
