The Sigma 30mm f/1.4 DC HSM Lens is designed for Nikon F-mount cameras. The optical design of the lens involves nine elements in eight groups. A double-sided aspherical element is included in the lens design to control spherical aberrations. The newly developed AF algorithm and hyper sonic motor team up to deliver fast, accurate, and quiet autofocus. The nine-blade diaphragm creates smooth bokeh effects in the image background. The Sigma lens can be connected to the Sigma USB dock to update its firmware. The lens is made of a thermally composite material that makes it strong enough to withstand extreme temperatures, without letting the internal lens barrel get affected in any way.
