Condition: Good
The Nikon F2 SLR is a professional camera that was introduced in 1971. This camera comes with a 50mm f/1.4 non-AI lens. It can also be used with other Nikon F-mount lenses. The camera’s maximum shutter speed stands at 1/2000th of a second. It has a DE-1 viewfinder that offers 100% screen coverage. This camera has other important features like the self-timer, depth-of-field preview, mirror-lock up, and PC terminal.
Optics and Focus
The Nikon F2 SLR camera has a 50mm f/1.4 non-AI lens attached to it. This lens has seven optical elements arranged in five groups, which help render sharp images. The lens provides a picture angle of 46° and can shoot subjects from a minimum focus distance of 0.6 m. The Nikon F2's shutter speed can reach 1/2000th of a second, allowing you to capture clear images of moving objects.
Sensor and Screen
This Nikon camera has a mirror lock that minimizes image blurring when manually adjusting the exposure. The camera is fitted with the Nikon DE-1 viewfinder that offers screen coverage of 100%. The finder also indicates whether the flash is ready or not.
Image and Video
The Nikon F2 is designed to be used with 35mm films that provide 24mm×36mm pictures after the development process. Also, it has a single-stroke film-advance lever with a standoff angle of 20° and winding angle of 120°.
Other Features
This camera from Nikon comes with the B and T terminals to attach flash bulbs. You may use the PC socket to mount an electronic flash unit too. If you connect an electronic flash to the camera, it gets synchronized with the shutter at 1/80th of a second. The self-additive frame counter denotes the number of negative frames that have been exposed. It resets when you open the back of the camera. With the self-timer function, the camera's shutter release can be delayed up to 10 seconds. The camera lets you view the final image based on the current focus and aperture setting with the depth-of-field preview button. A tripod socket is provided beneath the camera for setting up on a stable base. This camera is completely mechanical and, therefore, doesn't require batteries to operate.
