These elements are multi-coated to ensure reduced reflections and flare. The lens can be manually focused down to a minimum distance of 0.45 m. You can set the auto exposure mode to either shutter or aperture priority or switch to the fully manual metering mode. The aperture lock function prevents overexposures. With an electric focal plane shutter, you can take photos of moving objects by increasing the shutter speed up to 1/1000th of a second. The camera exposure provides a working range of EV 2 to EV17 at ASA 100.
Sensor and Screen
The fixed eye-level pentaprism viewfinder provides 94% screen coverage and a magnification of 0.9×. The illuminating LEDs indicate camera-related settings such as aperture, shutter speed, and exposure mode. Additionally, these LEDs have a warning area to show low or high exposure. A micro-prism spot is located in the center, which can be used for focusing.
Image and Video
The camera is made to work with 35mm films within a speed range of ASA 25 to 1600. This camera has a motorized film advance mechanism with a built-in coupler key for automatically winding the film after each shot. Also, you can manually advance the film with the provided lever. In the frame counter, the number of exposed frames is denoted. The camera has an ISO table at the rear that shows both DIN and ASA values. You can keep a note of the current film in the memo holder.
Other Features
The camera has a hot shoe for mounting an external flash. Also, you can use off-camera flash units with the PC terminal. The electronic flash can be synchronized with the shutter at 1/60th of a second while the class MF, M, and FP flashbulb synchronize at 1/15th of a second or lower. You can delay the shutter release up to 10 seconds by enabling the self-timer function. The camera's auto-exposure function, electronic shutter, and LEDs in the viewfinder are powered by a 1.5v button cell.
