The Minolta SRT 100 35mm SLR Camera offers accurate and fast light reading and focusing in high contrast conditions. A 55mm f/1.9 MC manual focus lens is provided with the SLR. This camera uses the contrast light compensator TTL metering that employs both spot and average metering methods. With the oversized instant return mirror, the camera prevents image cut-off and incorrect exposure reading. The focal-plane shutter provides a maximum speed of 1/500th of a second, as well as a separate setting for the blub mode. This camera comes with a fixed eye-level pentaprism viewfinder with central microprism screen for assisting the focusing operation. You can attach an external strobe to the accessory shoe. The direct helicoid focusing and infrared index let you capture pictures from a minimum distance of 2 feet.
The Minolta SRT 100 SLR accepts SR bayonet mount lenses. It comes with a 55mm f/1.9 MC manual focus lens that includes 6 elements in 5 groups. This prime lens offers 46° field of view and a minimum focus distance of 1.75 feet. The fast aperture provides shallow depth of field and ensures bright images in low light. Thanks to the contrast light compensator metering, the camera offers accurate exposure reading even with high-contrast subjects. The direct helicoid focusing method with infrared point provides a minimum working distance of 2 feet. This Minolta SLR allows exposure metering within the range of EV 3 to 17 at ASA 100. You can adjust the film speed between ASA 6 and 3200. Capture clear shots of moving objects by increasing the shutter speed up to 1/1000th of a second.
The real-image eye-level pentaprism viewfinder allows precise image composition. When viewing through the viewfinder, the central microprism spot works as an assist function to achieve desired focus. The viewfinder also shows the exposure control needle and the battery check mark.
The SRT 100 SLR captures exposures on a 35mm film. Wind the film by turning the advance lever by 150° in one stroke or series of short strokes. Use the rewind crack after the film roll reaches the end. The exposure counter denotes the total number of frames used.
This Minolta SLR allows you mount an electronic flash to the hot shoe. The flash can be synchronized with the shutter at 1/60th of a second. For FP class flashbulbs, the camera offers synchronization at all shutter speeds. The camera uses a single Mallory PX-625 battery to power its exposure metering. A battery-check switch is located at the bottom, which lets you know whether the battery is exhausted or not.
