The Bronica ETRS Medium Format SLR is a timeless camera that can work to impress even today. It features a waist-level finder and a 75mm f/2.8 MC lens. The camera has a four-claw Bronica ETR bayonet mount. It comes with Bronica's lens shutter system that can function at a fast speed of 1/500th of a second. You may use 120 and 220 film rolls, a 135 cartridge-loaded film, or Polaroid Land pack films with this camera. The Bronica ETRS camera has a fully automatic instant re-opening lens diaphragm. For a multi-exposure effect in images, use the dedicated lever on the camera body. With the X-sync point, the camera synchronizes an electronic flash with its shutter at 1/500th of a second. The camera's electronic functions are powered by a single 6V silver-oxide or alkaline battery.

Optics and Focus

This Bronica camera comes with the standard Zenzanon-EII 75mm f/2.8 lens, which is made with six optical elements in four groups. A multi-layer, anti-reflection coating is applied on the elements to reduce glare. The lens construction also offers an angle of view of 49°. With the manual helical focusing, you get a clear shot of an object, even from a close distance of 60 cm. On the front thread, the lens can take 62mm circular filters.

Sensor and Screen

The Bronica ETRS is equipped with a Waist-Level Finder E, which has a flip-up magnifier that can be used while focusing. This standard finder has a 1.15× magnification with a 75mm lens. The diopter of the eyepiece is set to -1.5 m. You may also change the existing finder with another of your choice, including the AE-II finder E or sports finder E.

Image and Video

The Bronica ETRS camera comes with a 120 ETRS film back that accepts 120 film rolls to provide up to 15 exposures. You may interchange the film back with compatible alternatives to use 220 film rolls, 135 cartridge-loaded films, and Polaroid Land pack films.

Other Features

This medium-format SLR camera from Bronica has an X-synchronization point to attach electronic flash units. After connecting the flash, it can be synchronized with the camera shutter at 1/500th of a second. The camera requires a PX28 silver-oxide, PX28L lithium, 4LR44 alkaline, or any equivalent 6V battery to power its electronic functions.

Detailed Specifications
Focusing System: Rotating helicoid mount
Focusing System:
The type of focusing system used to capture a sharp image. Some simple cameras have fixed (infinity) focus. Most modern cameras have autofocus systems which determine the distance to the subject automatically. There are two main types of autofocus: active autofocus, where an infrared light (or a sonar pulse) is emitted by the camera and reflected by the subject, and passive autofocus, where the image transmitted by the lens is analysed for its sharpness by a detector inside the camera.
