The Nikon 500mm F8 Reflex Lens offers high-grade optical performance with its catadioptric design. This lens can be fitted to most 35mm film and digital Nikon F-mount cameras. The optical construction of 6 elements in 6 groups uses reflex mirrors like the ones incorporated in large astronomical telescopes. It eliminates chromatic aberrations to ensure consistent results throughout the focus range. The elements have Nikon Integrated Coating to improve light transmission for image clarity. You can focus the lens down the minimum distance of 5 feet. The lens accepts 82mm circular filters on the front thread and 39mm screw-in filters on the rear metal mount. This lens comes with a fixed tripod collar that rotates with clicks at four 90° points.
