Optics and Focus

The Alpha a77 II from Sony is designed to use with all Sony Alpha and Minolta lenses with modest apertures and focal lengths. The camera’s gapless on-chip lens design fills the gaps between the neighboring pixels with optimized lenses, which match the angle of incidence to gather light and produce images with an edge-to-edge quality and sharpness.
