The Contax T2 Titanium is a point-and-shoot 35mm film camera that offers crisp and clear pictures with rich contrast and color accuracy. This camera comes with a 38mm f/2.8 Carl Zeiss T Sonnar lens. It has an external metering system with SPD cell. The camera can work with films having a speed between ISO 50–5000. Its electronic shutter can function at a maximum speed of 1/500th of a second in aperture priority mode. It has a built-in flash with flashmatic system that includes red-eye reduction pre-lighting function. The camera features automatic loading, advance, and auto-return functions. Additional features include a self-timer and an LCD screen for film counter and bulb exposure elapsed time.

Optics and Focus

The 38mm f/2.8 Carl Zeiss T Sonnar lens comes along with the Contax T2 Titanium camera. Its optical design comprises five elements arranged in four groups. The lens has a 38mm focal length and a maximum aperture of f/2.8. The camera comes with an aperture priority AE program that sets the appropriate shutter speed based on the lighting conditions. You get an exposure value range of EV 3 to 17 with an ASA 100 film speed. The camera's automatic focus allows you to capture photos quickly. It has a focus-lock feature as well that allows you to set the focus by pressing the shutter-release button halfway.

Sensor and Screen

This Contax film camera comes with an inverted Galilean viewfinder that provides 85% screen coverage. In the viewfinder, you can see important camera settings such aperture, shutter, exposure compensation, and focus display. The range finder is indicated by a small green circle, which shows the appropriate focus setting by illuminating arrow indicators.

Image and Video

The Contax T2 works with a 35mm film that has a speed between ISO 50 and 5000. This camera offers an auto-loading method with an automatic advance function for preparing for the next frame.

Other Features

This Contax T2 Titanium camera has an auto-return function that allows you to rewind the film from midway. It also includes a built-in flash that has a red-eye reduction pre-lighting function. It has a recycle time of approximately 3.5 seconds at normal temperature and a maximum flash range of 3 m. The camera has a self-timer that allows you to delay the shutter release by up to 10 seconds. There is an LCD screen that displays battery life. The camera uses 3 V Li-ion batteries to power its flash and aperture priority AE function.
