The Nikon 300mm F/2.8 Lens is specially designed for nature and sports photography. This lens can be fitted onto Nikon cameras having the F mount. The optical design of the lens involves 11 elements in 8 groups, including an Extra-low Dispersion glass to reduce chromatic aberrations. A nano crystal coat is applied on the lens elements to suppress ghosting and lens flare. With the nine-blade diaphragm, the lens provides a rounded bokeh effect in images. The silent wave AF motor offers near-quiet and fast autofocus performance up to a minimum distance of 2.3 m. Additionally, the internal focusing mechanism retains the length of the lens. The Vibration Reduction (VR) image stabilization compensates for camera shakes when taking pictures or recording videos with a high focal length. Thanks to its dust- and water-resistant design, the lens is easy to work with in inclement weather. This lens can also be used with select Nikon AF-S teleconverter lenses.
