Condition: Good

Introduced in 1960, the Mamiya Universal Press Camera was tailor-made for press photography of that era. Along with the camera, a 100mm F/3.5 lens and 6×9 roll film holder is included in the box. Adjust the exposure by setting the shutter speed and aperture values. This camera has a "B" mode for the Seiko 0 shutter to take long exposure shots. The viewfinder is coupled with a reversed Galileian telescope rangefinder. Also, the frame fields in the viewfinder can be adjusted for the 100mm, 150mm, and 250mm lenses as well as 6×9, and 6×7 film formats. The camera has an accessory shoe and synchronization socket to connect an external flash. You can interchange the camera back with an M or G adapter, or Polaroid Land camera back.

Optics and Focus

The 100mm F/3.5 lens offers an angle of view of 53° 30' when using a 6×9 film. Its construction has 4 optical elements arranged in 3 groups. You can stop down the lens aperture to F/32. Adjust the lens aperture and the shutter speed of the camera to set the appropriate exposure for the scene. The Seiko 0 shutter has a maximum speed of 1/500th of a second.

Sensor and Screen

The fixed viewfinder has adjustable frames for 100mm, 150mm, and 250mm lenses. You can also set the frames for the 6×9, and 6×7 film formats. Thanks to the automatic parallax compensation, you don't have to worry about image cut-off. A reversed Galileian telescope rangefinder is also incorporated into the viewfinder, which provides instant coupling with selected lenses.

Image and Video

The camera accepts 6×9 film formats with the relevant adapter provided with it. Also, you can use the other adapters to use 6×7 films or Polaroid Land camera film backs. The camera lets you attach M and G adapter to the camera.

Other Features

The accessory shoe allows you to mount flash devices to the camera. You can synchronize M-class flash and electronic strobes at all shutter speeds with the M-sync and X-synch terminal respectively. A tripod socket is located at the bottom to mount the camera on a stable base. The handle grip allows you to firmly hold the camera when using it without the tripod support.
