The Zoom H4n Pro 4-Channel Handy Recorder features a stereo X/Y microphone that is designed to handle 140 dB SPL. Additionally, this recording device has two low-noise preamps equipped with locking combination XLR / 1/4" inputs, multiple recording modes, on-board effects, a built-in metronome, and a chromatic tuner. This recording device is capable of capturing sound sources in WAV and MP3 formats, and has a 128 x 64-dot back-lit LCD display that makes it convenient to read its panel on stage. This handy recorder is ideal for film-audio capture, podcasting, field interviews, and for the creation of multi-cracked audio with DAWs. This recorder can be used for 12 hours straight in the Stamina mode when run on a pair of AA batteries.
