Overview

The Sigma 14mm f/1.8 DG HSM Art Lens is specially made for landscape photography. This lens is meant to be used with Sony E-mount cameras and boasts an optical construction comprising 16 elements in 11 groups. Among these elements are three FLD, four SLD, and four aspherical elements that minimize chromatic and spherical anomalies. The lens delivers well-saturated results in bright conditions, thanks to the super multi-layer coating. With the Hyper Sonic Motor AF, the lens provides fast, accurate, and silent autofocus. All nine diaphragm blades are rounded and create a smooth bokeh effect in the background. Additionally, this Sigma lens has a maximum aperture of f/1.4 that enables smooth photography under low light. This lens is resistant to extremely low and high temperatures, thanks to its Thermally Stable Composite body. Also, the rubber sealing on the brass mount keeps dust and moisture at bay.
