Introduced in 1969, the Pentax 67 SLR Camera delivers amazing performance and lets you relive the charm of analog film photography. You may use all Pentax 67-mount lenses with this camera. The camera can be used with a TTL pentaprism finder for light metering. It provides an ISO of up to 3200 and meter-coupling range of EV 2.5 to EV 19. You may increase the electronic shutter speed up to 1/1000th of a second. There are FP and X terminals for connecting external flash bulbs and electronic flash units, respectively. The additional features in the camera include a mirror lock, an interchangeable viewfinder design, and a hand grip.
Optics and Focus
This Pentax camera comes with a 75mm f/4.5 macro lens that is made for capturing life-size images of small objects. Its optical construction involves nine elements in eight groups, which together deliver high-quality pictures with sharp details and clarity. The lens offers a 61° angle of view and can operate at a minimum focus distance of 0.7 m. It lens uses the stopped-down metering method for deciding the correct exposure when combined with the 67 TTL pentaprism finder. The Pentax 67 SLR camera has a maximum shutter speed of up to 1/1000th of a second that lets you click clear images of moving objects.
Sensor and Screen
This SLR camera from Pentax has a TTL pentaprism viewfinder that provides a screen coverage of 90% and magnification of 1×. Also, the diopter cap be adjusted to -1D. In the viewfinder, there are needles that indicate meter index and over- or under- exposure warning. Thanks to the interchangeable-viewfinder design, you may attach other finders such as the pentaprism waist-level viewfinder, magnifying hood, and focusing hood.
Image and Video
This Pentax SLR camera accepts both 120 and 220 film rolls, providing 10 and 20 exposures, respectively. After developing the negatives, you get a picture frame in 55×70mm. For advancing the film, the camera has a rapid rewind level that has a 180° movement.
Other Features
You may use the provided FP and X-sync terminals to attach an external flash to the Pentax 67 SLR. The FP terminal can be used for a standard flash bulb and the X-sync for electronic flash units. When you attach an electronic flash, the camera synchronizes it up to 1/30th of a second. A handle grip is integrated into the camera design to improve the overall stability when mounting a flash unit. The camera is powered by a 6V alkaline or silver oxide battery.
