Overview

The Sigma 35mm 1.4 DG HSM is a state of the art lens designed for full frame cameras but can also be used with APS-C sensors as well. The first addition to the Art category in Sigma’s Global Vision, the 35mm 1.4 DG HSM includes new features based around a unique lens concept and design. The 35mm is a staple focal length in the world of photography, and paired with Sigma technology, this lens can take artistic expression to the next level. The lens is equipped with technology including a Hyper Sonic Motor (HSM), floating internal focusing system, SLD and FLD Glass elements. The HSM ensures quiet, high seed, accurate autofocusing while the floating focusing system allows for superior optical performance with subjects at a closer shooting distance. The SLD glass elements along with the FLD glass elements, which are equal to fluorite, help correct both axial and chromatic aberration. The large 1.4 aperture make it ideal in low light and the lens is compatible with the Sigma USB dock and Optimization Pro software to adjust and fine tune focusing parameters. The Sigma 35mm 1.4 DG HSM is a must have for any camera bag.

My son is a great fan of photography and I wanted to gift him with a professional camera which will help to enhance his photography skills. On the suggestion of a friend, I bought a Nikon DSLR camera with the interchangeable Sigma 35 mm lens for him. My son is delighted with the camera and we have seen amazing clear and crisp images that were taken using this lens.

Sigma has always produced the best quality lens that would be suitable for all kinds of cameras and this time it proved the same with the new 35 mm f/1.4 lens. Being a fan of Sigma lens, I bought this lens for my Canon camera. I tested it for the aperture range from f/1.4 to f/1.6 which gave me great quality images even in dark areas. I feel this is one of the best Sigma lens so far.

I recently used the 35 mm f/1.4 DG lens with my Nikon camera and was very happy to get crisp and clear pictures. I would say that the autofocus system of this lens is amazing as it lets me take accurate and smooth pictures quickly. I liked the responsiveness of the AF system which I feel is the best feature of this lens.

When I purchased the 35 mm f/1.4 DG lens from Sigma, I was amazed to see its outstanding build quality. Apart from letting me capture great quality pictures with accurate colors, I found its modern, Zeiss like style build amazing which made it easier to grip when I took images using my Nikon camera.
